Winery, cellar bar, bistro and events
Boomtown is a Local Winery, Cellar Bar, Bistro and Events space…a place to gather and experience local food and drink, grown and made by us and our friends here on Djaara Country. Our cellar bar is open Thursday to Sunday and offers an immersive look and at how we make our wines, with a bottle selection that constantly shifts with the seasons.
On Fridays and Saturdays we open the Bistro, with an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner on Fridays and our Harvest Lunch set menu for Saturday bookings. We write our menus weekly and offer a chalk board selection of daily specials to extend the printed menus if the kitchen is feeling athletic. Our menu is shaped by our local organic growers and producers, moves with the season and is influenced heavily by southern France and northern Italy.
Shaun Thatcher is now on the pans, leaving the city for the smell of soil after 15 years in some of Melbournes most loved kitchens. Shaun has now celebrated a year heading up our kitchen team and is joined by Brent Lougoon (ex Marion), allowing us to start thinking about extending our services across thursday and sunday…. soon!
